本日のお客様は、久しぶりにお会いになるご家族様と
お越しでした。
終始ににこやかな面持ちでお話されるお客様から
素敵なお時間を頂戴しました。

お盆
一般的に、8月13日から16日までとされるお盆。
そもそもお盆とは、「故人を生前過ごした場所でお迎えし、あの世での幸せを祈る」期間だそう。
そして今日14日は、こちらに戻ってきたかたが、一日ゆっくりと過ごされる日だそうです。
移築復元した今の旧大島邸は、"大島小太郎さんが生前過ごされた場所”ではないのですが、
仏壇がそのまま残っているので、もしかすると、こちらにも顔を出しに来られるかもしれません。
どうぞ、今日一日が、心安らかな日になりますように。
Bon Festival is a Buddhist festival in Japan to honor and worship the spirit of our ancestors.
It is believed that the spirits of our ancestors return from Pure Land to the earth during the season.
In this The Former Oshima Residence, there is buddhist altars made in Meiji era.
Perhaps, Mr. Oshima (this residence's landlord) 's spirit will drop by at here ;)
I wish everyone can spend a calm day.

敷地面積の９割近くが庭になっている、旧大島邸。
そのため、夏の邸内には、さまざまな虫たちがよく遊びにきます。
そんな彼らとお客様が遭遇しないよう、夏場は特に、スタッフ一同できる限り目を配っております。
ですが、万が一遭遇してしまった場合は、どうぞ遠慮なくスタッフにお声掛けください。速やかに対応致します。
（なお、当館スタッフもあまり虫が得意ではないことを、何卒ご了承くださいませ）

Because of that, various insects often enter building...

唐津で、年に一回行われる『唐津検定』。
今年の開催日程が、本日発表されました。
ふるさとの歴史や素晴らしさを、もう一度見つめ直すために、
そして、唐津の魅力をより多くのかたに知って頂くために。
この唐津検定は、唐津在住のかた以外も受けることができます。
邸内のパンフレット置き場に申込用紙を置いておりますので、
どうぞご自由にお持ちください。
In Karatsu, "Karatsu Examination" is hold once a year.
Purpose of this examination is to measure my knowledge about my hometown and to spread attraction in Karatsu around more.
Also, anyone who interested in Karatsu can take an examination.
Like this, there are many unique local examinations in Japan.

今日は、朝から雨が降った唐津。
ほんとうに久しぶりの、恵みの雨でした。
緑に囲まれた旧大島邸は、雨が上がるとより一層、その緑色が明るく見えます。
昨日は蕾が閉じていたキキョウも、綺麗な花が咲いていました。
今日も全体的に湿度が高く、蒸し暑い一日になりそうです。

After a long separation rain, so view from the window is looks clear and bright.
Balloon flower is blooming and it looks like fine than yesterday.
In Karatsu, it will be highly temperature and humid.

お香の体験会
本日、15畳の大座敷でお香の体験会が行われました。
香道の体験だけでなくお呈茶も振る舞われ、
和やかで素敵な空間でした。
気温や湿度も高く、強い風が吹いていた今日の唐津。
旧大島邸で、心に残るひと時を過ごしていただけていれば幸いです。
Today, experiential session of incense was hold at 15 mats.
Not only experiential session, but also tea ceremony was hold.
It was peaceful and nice atmosphere :)
Today's Karatsu weather is humid and very windy.
I hope participants had a great time at this The Former Oshima Residence.
